Mangla Handicraft

Mangla Handicraft is not a big company with a warehouse. We actually work right out of our home at number 778 in the village of Mundali. It has been this way for a long time. Our work is very much tied to the rhythms of the village and our daily life at home. We don't have a showroom with glass cases or anything like that. If you come to see us, you will see our work spread out on tables or being finished in the courtyard. It is all very traditional. We make various items by hand, using the techniques that have been around our area for generations. Sometimes the kids are running around while we work, and the neighbors stop by to chat. It is a very humble way of doing things. We don't use big machinery; it is mostly just manual labor and simple tools. This means things take a bit longer, but that is just how we do it. The house can get quite messy with all the thread, wood, or whatever materials we are using at the time. We don't mind it because it shows that we are actually making something real. We handle the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of everything. It is just a family effort to keep the craft going in our small corner of Mundali. We aren't looking for anything flashy, just to keep doing our work every day.
