Rajasthan Store

You can find us at Shop Number 15 in the Gol Market, which is part of the Saket area in Rajban Bazar. Gol Market is a well-known spot in Meerut and it is always a bit of a maze with all the different shops in a circle. Our place is not very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We have shelves reaching almost to the door, filled with jars of pickles, bags of flour, and various household cleaners. The bazaar outside is always moving with rickshaws and people carrying bags. It gets very dusty in the summer, so we have to wipe down the counters multiple times a day. We have been here for a while and have seen many other shops come and go. People call it the Rajasthan Store, and we try to keep things that people look for, like good quality spices and pulses. The lighting inside is a bit dim because we only have a couple of tube lights, but everyone seems to find what they need. We do not do any fancy displays; we just put the items where they fit. It is a practical shop for the local people living in Saket. We stay open through the heat of the day, even when the rest of the market slows down for a nap or some tea.
