Our group, Krishkriti Producer Company Limited, is based out of Jaipal Singh’s place in Karid Pur. If you know the Khadarramraj area near Meerapur, you know how things are around here. We are just a bunch of people who spend most of our days out in the fields. It felt right to start something where we could work together instead of everyone just struggling on their own. Life in Karid Pur isn't always easy, especially when you are dealing with the rising prices of things we need for the farm. We meet up at the house and talk about what needs doing. Sometimes we talk about the crops, sometimes we just complain about the heat or the lack of rain. It’s a real community thing. We don't have fancy brochures or a front desk. Most of the time our hands are dirty from the work. We wanted to make sure the farmers in Meerapur had some kind of way to stand together. We deal with the seeds, the water, and the harvesting just like everyone else. There’s a lot of waiting for the right weather and hoping for things to turn out. We aren't professionals in suits. We are just local folks trying to get the work done day by day. Having this company name helps us a bit when we have to deal with paperwork, but at the end of the day, we are still just farmers in Khadarramraj trying to keep our heads above water.
