Machhra Krishak Vikas Producer Company Limited

Our small group is based in Village Machhraro Khas, which is part of the Meerut area. We are located at Hukum Singh’s house, and that is where most of the decisions happen. Farming in Meerut has its own set of challenges, and we decided to form this company so we could handle our farming needs together. We are just local people who know the soil here. Some days are spent just sitting on the porch talking about the wheat or the sugarcane and how the crops are looking this year. It is not a big corporate operation. It is just us neighbors trying to coordinate our work. We go out to the fields early in the morning and sometimes we don't get back until late. The village life is quiet, and everyone knows everyone else. When we started Machhra Krishak Vikas, it was mostly just to have a name for what we were already doing. We share tools and advice, and we try to look out for each other when things get tough. The weather can be unpredictable, but having a group helps. We don’t use any big words or have any complicated plans. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and that the work gets finished. If you walk through the village, you will see us working in the dirt or hanging out near Hukum’s place. It’s just regular life for us.
