Taliyan Farmer Producer Company Limited is out in Chhur, which is part of the Meerut area. We are located at Vikrant Taliyan’s place, house number 896. Meerut is a place with a lot of history, and farming has always been at the heart of it. Our village, Chhur, is where we all live and work. We started this company because we wanted to have a collective voice. When you’re just one farmer, it’s hard to get anyone to listen. But as a group, we can manage things a bit better. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy titles. We are just neighbors helping neighbors. The office is basically just a room where we meet to discuss the crops and the prices. The 250342 area is our home. We deal with whatever the season throws at us. Sometimes it’s too much rain, other times it’s a drought. We just take it as it comes. We handle the paperwork and the distribution without making a big fuss about it. It’s a practical way of living. People come by, we drink some tea, and we talk about the work that needs doing in the fields. It’s not a corporate lifestyle. It’s just how we get things done here. We focus on the basics and try to make sure everyone in our group is doing alright with their harvest and getting what they need to keep going next year.
