You can find Shri Krishan Vidhya Mandir Junior High School over in Dharam Nagar. We are located right along the NH2 on Barsana Road in Bathain Kalan, Mathura. Being so close to the highway means there is always a bit of traffic noise, but you get used to it after a while. Our school isn't very large, just a junior high, but we stay busy from morning till late afternoon. Mathura is a busy place with lots of pilgrims and travelers, but here in Bathain Kalan, it feels a bit more like a regular neighborhood. We have a courtyard where the students gather for their morning prayers. It's a simple routine we've followed for a long time. The classrooms have wooden desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose. We have a few trees in the yard that provide some nice shade when the sun is beating down on the playground. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby areas come by and hang out on the roof, which the kids find very funny. We focus on the basics here—reading, writing, and math. Our staff is local, so they understand the struggles the families face. We try to be flexible when a student has to miss a day for farm work or a family wedding. It is just the way of life here. We keep our doors open and try to do right by the children in our corner of Mathura every single day for the community.
