Army Pre-Primary School No. 1

This school is located in Mathura Cantt, right near the Tank Chauraha. It is a well-known spot, especially since the shopping complex is just a short walk away. Being in the cantonment area, everything is quite orderly. The building is one of those sturdy ones you see in military areas, painted a neutral color and kept very clean. We have a lot of space outside, which is great for the kids because they have plenty of energy to burn off. I spend a lot of time in the office or walking the halls. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just a school for little children. We teach them their ABCs and how to play together without fighting too much. The teachers are mostly wives of the men stationed here, so there's a lot of shared understanding among the staff. We know what it's like to move around, so we try to make the school a stable place for the kids. The shopping complex nearby is where most of us go after work to pick up groceries. It is a very convenient location for everyone. We don't do anything flashy. We just show up, do our jobs, and make sure the children are looked after properly until the final bell rings. It’s a good routine for the kids and for us adults too. The noise from the Tank Chauraha is just background hum for us now.
