Vikas Pu College

Our college is situated right on Airport Road at Mary Hill in Mangalore. It is a busy road, so there is always the sound of cars and buses going past, especially with the airport being a bit further up. We have been here for a while, and the building has become a bit of a landmark for people living around Mary Hill. It is a Pre-University college, so we get a lot of students who are just finishing school and trying to figure out what to do next. The weather in Mangalore can be quite something, with the heavy rains, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof does not leak and the floors stay dry. Inside, it is just rows of benches and whiteboards. We do not have a big corporate office; it is just us sitting in a small room near the entrance. You will see students hanging out near the stairs during their breaks or grabbing a snack from the nearby shops. The staff is quite regular, and we have worked together for years. We do not use a lot of big words or have fancy presentations for the parents. We just tell them how their kids are doing and what needs to be done. It is a straightforward way of running things. Sometimes the traffic makes everyone late, but we just start when everyone gets here. It is a local place for local students, plain and simple, without any extra fuss.
