Govinda Dasa College

Govinda Dasa College is part of the Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha. We are situated in Surathkal, which is in Mangalore. The address is 575014. We are quite close to the coast, so you can feel the sea breeze sometimes. The college has been around for quite a while now. We have students coming from all over the Karnataka region. The campus is a place of study, with old trees and simple buildings. We don't go in for anything too modern or flashy in our appearance. It’s a traditional kind of place. You’ll find students sitting under the shade or heading to the library between sessions. The staff works out of small offices. We have our daily routines, like the morning assembly and the afternoon bells. Surathkal is a nice town, and we feel like a big part of it. We don’t spend money on fancy ads. People come to us because they know who we are. The classrooms have seen many years of students pass through the doors. We just try to keep things running smoothly. It’s a lot of administrative work and teaching. We take pride in just being a solid place for people to get an education. There is always some maintenance work going on, like fixing a leaky roof or painting a wall. It is just a steady, reliable institution that has been part of the Surathkal community for a very long time. We keep the doors open and focus on the students who come through them. It is just our way of life.
