Srinivas School Of Engineering is right here on 652 Ghs Road. If you know the Bhavathi area or spend time in Hampankatta, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. The building is older than some of the others on this street, but it holds up okay. Inside, it’s mostly just students carrying heavy bags and trying to figure out their lab schedules. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual stuff like fixing broken fans or making sure there is enough water for everyone during the afternoon heat. It gets really loud around here when the classes let out, especially with the traffic on the main road right outside. Most of us who work here have been around for a while, so we know the local shops and where to get the decent tea. It isn't a fancy place with shiny glass walls, but the classrooms have enough space and the desks are sturdy. We mostly just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams happen when they are supposed to. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back entrance, so we just put a bucket there and carry on. It’s just how things are in this part of town. You see the same faces every day, and after a while, you just get used to the rhythm of the place. It’s a bit messy and a bit noisy, but it is our daily routine here in Hampankatta.
