St Aloysius College

St Aloysius College is a big presence on Light House Hill Road in the Hampankatta area of Mangalore. The address is 575003, and it is a very well-known spot in this part of Karnataka. The campus has several old buildings made of red stone and lots of trees that give some shade during the hot afternoons. We have many different departments spread out across the grounds. It is a very busy place with students coming and going from all over the city and even from further away. You will find people sitting on the stone benches or walking quickly to their next lecture. The staff in the offices are usually busy with piles of paperwork and student IDs. It is not a new place, so some of the wooden stairs creak a bit when you walk on them. We have a canteen where everyone goes for a quick tea or some snacks between classes. The atmosphere is quite casual but focused on the work that needs to get done. There are a lot of notice boards covered in old flyers and exam schedules. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe ourselves, we are just a long-standing college in the heart of Mangalore. People know us for being here a long time and for the way the campus looks. It is just a part of the daily life for many people around here. We just keep the doors open and the classes going.
