Down on Market Road in Bantwal you will find Praveen Plastics at number 47/789. The road is always packed with people buying vegetables and household goods so it stays quite lively. Our shop isn't very large so we have to be smart about how we stack the plastic chairs and buckets. Often the stacks reach almost to the ceiling and we have to use a long pole to get things down for people. We don't have a fancy display window or anything like that. People just look in through the open front and see what we have available that day. The floor is just plain stone and we spend a lot of time cleaning it because of all the mud people bring in from the street. We know most of the people who walk by every morning. We drink coffee from the stall next door twice a day. It’s a simple life and the work is straightforward. We don't use a lot of technology here just a calculator and a notebook to keep track of the money. Sometimes we run out of stock faster than we expected and have to wait for the next truck to come from the city. That is just how the market goes. We stay open until the sun goes down and the other shops start closing their shutters. It’s been our routine for years and it works for us fine.
