Lakshmi Venkatesh Plastic House

Our shop, Lakshmi Venkatesh Plastic House, is situated right near the Corporation Bank on J M Cross Road. If you are in the Bunder area, you’ve likely walked past us a dozen times without thinking much about it. It’s a busy part of town, especially with the bank right there bringing in people all day long. We have a lot of plastic items stacked up inside, sometimes so high it's hard to see the back wall. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we have a system that works for us. When a customer comes in asking for something specific, we usually know exactly which pile it’s hidden under. The humidity from being near the water can get to you sometimes, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The street outside is always noisy with people shouting and bikes zooming past, but we’ve grown used to it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay and that people get what they came for. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what's comfortable for moving heavy boxes around. Sometimes the light in the shop flickers a bit, but we haven't got around to fixing that yet. We’re more worried about keeping the stock moving and talking to the regulars who stop by for a chat.
