Maddur Women Farmer Producer Companylimited is based right here in Maddur village. If you are looking for us, we are at C Ramulu’s place, Plot No. 6-61. It is a local setup where the women from around the village come together to handle our business. We don't have a big fancy office building with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a simple space where we can meet and talk about the crops and the changing seasons. Maddur is a quiet place for the most part, and everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We started this because we wanted to have our own way of doing things without having to go through too many middlemen who take all the profit. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the weather doesn’t cooperate with us, but we manage. We aren’t professional writers, so we just talk plain English. Most of the time we are out in the fields or checking on the harvest progress. When we are at the plot, we are usually just sorting out the paperwork or planning for what to plant next month. It’s good for the women here to have a place of their own to run things and make decisions. We don't use big words or have meetings that last all day for no reason. We just do what needs to be done for the farm and our families. It’s a simple life and a simple business in our village.
