We’ve been here on Balurghat Road in Gajol for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Malda but we’ve made our space here at Iqra Siksha Niketan. Most mornings start early when the kids arrive. You can hear them from the road before you even see them. The building isn't huge, but it does the job. We have classrooms that get plenty of sun during the day. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy in the summer heat, but that’s just how it is in this part of Bengal. Our staff mostly live nearby, so everyone knows each other. It feels more like a community than just a place of work. We handle the daily stuff, from keeping the registers updated to making sure the courtyard is clean after the kids go home. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Dealing with parents and managing the schedule takes up most of the day. We don't have fancy offices or anything like that. Just desks, benches, and a lot of books. Some days are quieter than others, especially when exams are going on. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone is talking at once. It’s just how a school runs. We’ve seen many groups of students come and go over the years. Some come back to visit when they are older. It’s nice to see them doing well. We’re just here doing our bit in Gajol every day.
