Donyi Polo Farmer Producer Companylimited is run from Chumaymari Gaon, which is out near Patiya in the Kamalabari part of Majuli. Ranjan Pegu is the one whose name is on the address for the office. We spend most of our days out in the fields rather than sitting in any office. In this part of Jorhat, the soil is okay but you really have to watch the river and the weather. We got a bunch of farmers from around the village to join in so we can buy things in bulk and maybe get a better price when we sell. It is not a big corporate setup or anything like that.
