Mahasamund Pithora Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is at H. No. 333 in Saldih Gram, which is in the Lalmati area of Mahasamund. We are a farmer producer company, which sounds a bit official, but really we are just a bunch of neighbors working together. Saldih is a small place and everyone knows everyone else. We decided to start this company so we could get better prices for our crops and maybe share some of the equipment. Farming by yourself is hard, but when there are a lot of us, it feels a bit more manageable. We spend a lot of time sitting around the house talking about the rain and the soil. Each season brings something different. We handle the paperwork and the sales right from the village. It isn't a polished operation with suits and ties. We wear our work clothes and we usually have some mud on our boots. Mahasamund is a good region for what we do, and we know the stuff we grow is decent. We don't have any big goals of taking over the world. We just want to make sure our families can stay on the land if they want to. It is just practical, everyday farming work. We help each other out with the harvest and make sure no one gets left behind. That is just how we do things here in Lalmati and we wouldn't change it for anything else. It is our way of life.
