Vinitas College Of Hair & Skin Science

Our place is over in Madurai, specifically in the 625020 zip code area. It’s called Vinitas College of Hair & Skin Science, but it’s more of a practical school than a fancy college. We spend most of our time teaching students how to handle different hair types and skin problems. It’s a lot of hands-on work, so there are always students practicing on mannequins or on each other. The classrooms are filled with chairs, mirrors, and all the tools you’d expect in a salon. It gets quite loud when everyone is talking at once or when the instructors are giving demonstrations. We aren't a big institution with hundreds of rooms, just a focused space for learning the trade. People come here because they want to work in the beauty industry later on. It’s interesting to see how someone starts off not knowing how to hold scissors and ends up doing a full haircut by themselves. We’ve been doing this for a while now in Madurai. The days are long and sometimes exhausting, especially when we have a big group of new students. We don’t spend much time on fancy brochures or marketing. We just let the students learn by doing. It’s a straightforward way to teach, and it seems to work well enough for everyone involved. Sometimes we even have people from the neighborhood come in to let students practice on them.
