Vajresh Farm

Vajresh Farm is located at 12, Alagappa Nagar in the Madakkulam area. It is more of a working space than anything you would call a corporate office. We spend most of our time outside or in the sheds dealing with the day-to-day tasks that come with running a farm business. The ground is often muddy especially when it rains but that is just the way it goes here. We have a few rows of crops and some space for storage at the back. It is not a huge piece of land but we try to make the most of every square foot we have. My family has been around this area for a long time so we know most of the people living in Alagappa Nagar. Sometimes the neighbors' kids come by to see what we are planting. It is hard work and my back usually aches by Friday but there is something good about working with the soil. We don't use any high-tech gadgets or complicated systems, just regular tools and a lot of patience. The birds are usually loud in the morning which is my favorite part of the day before the heat kicks in. We sell what we grow to local markets and sometimes people come directly to the gate to see what is available. It is a simple way to live and work.
