Uzhavandesam Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in the Gangavalli area. The address is a bit of a mouthful: S/O Semmalai, D.O 87, South Manakkaduthedavoor. We are in Tamilnadu, right in the heart of the farming country. Semmalai’s son helps manage a lot of the stuff here. It is a real grassroots effort. We do not have a marketing team or a fancy logo. We just have a lot of people who know how to grow things. South Manakkaduthedavoor is where we all live and work. We started this company to help our fellow farmers in the Gangavalli Taluk. It is a lot of work trying to coordinate between so many different people. Sometimes the communication breaks down and we have to spend the whole day on the phone or driving around to fix things. But that is just part of being a local business. We focus on the practical side of things, like getting the harvest to the market and making sure people get paid on time. It is a bit rough around the edges, and our office is usually full of people talking loudly about the weather or the price of diesel. We are not looking to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the folks in our village have a fair shot at making a living from their land. The number 6 at the end of our address is just part of the local record.
