Shri Shivabasava Trading Company

Our place is out in Melachinnanampatti which is part of the Vadipatti area. Shri Shivabasava Trading Company is mostly a local operation where we deal with what comes in from the surrounding fields. It is a quiet spot compared to the big cities but we stay busy enough. The building is simple and doesn't have any of those modern glass windows. We spend a lot of time outside or in the warehouse area checking the quality of the goods. There is always a tractor or a small truck parked out front loading up. We know most of the people who come by because they live just down the road. It is a lot of physical work moving bags and checking scales. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a few desks and a wooden bench for visitors to sit on. The weather dictates a lot of what we do every day. If it rains things slow down and we spend time cleaning the equipment. We keep our own records and don't rely much on complicated technology. It’s a basic business and we like the fact that we can talk to our customers face to face. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It is a slow pace of life but the work still gets done.
