Our place is at No.3A on Kambar Street in Kannanur Village. We are part of the Chetpet Post area. Tniamp Pazhamudhircholai Farmer Producer is a long name for a group of people who just care about local fruit and vegetables. We spend our mornings on Kambar Street getting things ready for the day ahead. Kannanur is a small village and everyone pretty much knows everyone else’s business. It is a simple life here. We don't go for big advertisements or fancy slogans. We just focus on the produce that comes from the farms around Chetpet Post. Sometimes the rains are good and sometimes they aren't, which makes our job at the farmer producer company a bit of a gamble. But we have been doing this long enough to not get too worried about the ups and downs. The building at No.3A is where we keep our tools and do our planning. It is a humble spot. You won't find any marble floors or air conditioning that works all the time. Just some old desks and a lot of talk about the crops. We think it is important to stay rooted in the village. Kambar Street isn't very wide, so it gets crowded when the trucks come in to load up. That is just how it goes. We work together to make sure the farmers get a fair shake. It is a lot of effort but it feels right being here in Kannanur Village.
