Tharma Driving School

Tharma Driving School is over here at 35 Nagamalai Puthukotai in Madurai City. We spend most of our time out on the roads, but this is where we keep our files and where people come to sign up. Teaching someone to drive in Madurai traffic is never easy, but we have been doing it long enough that we don’t get stressed out much anymore. The office is simple, just some chairs and a desk where we handle the permits. We start early before the sun gets too hot, though by noon it is always scorching. Most of the people who come to us are young kids looking for their first license or nervous adults who never got around to learning. We take them out in the car, explain how the clutch works, and try to make sure they don't hit anything. It is a lot of patience, truth be told. The Nagamalai Puthukotai area has changed quite a bit since we started, with more shops and more traffic every year. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. It’s just us and the cars. When the day is done, we park them back here and get the paperwork ready for the next morning. It is a small business, and we like keeping it that way because we get to know everyone who walks through the door.
