Amman Driving School

We are based at No 193 on Old Natham Road in the Anaiyur area of Madurai. If you know Valluvar Colony or the P & T Colony, we are right in that vicinity. It’s a good spot for a driving school because we have access to different types of roads nearby. Most of the people who come to us are just locals from around here who need to get their license for work or family reasons. We spend our days mostly in the cars, teaching the basics of how to handle a vehicle. It’s not always glamorous work, especially when the Madurai heat is really hitting the pavement. We keep things very simple and down to earth. Our office isn't anything special, just a place to sit down and talk through the rules or fill out some forms for the government office. We’ve seen hundreds of people pass through our training cars over the years. Some learn fast and others need a bit more time, and that’s perfectly fine with us. We just take it one lesson at a time. The cars have a lot of history on them, with plenty of miles from driving around the neighborhood. We are just a small group of people doing a job that needs doing. There’s a lot of satisfaction in seeing someone finally drive off on their own after they get their license. It’s just plain, everyday business for us here. We try our best.
