Ganga Devi Driving School

Ganga Devi Driving School is located at 122/3, Singaravelan Street, right in the K. Pudur area. If you know the Pudur Bazaar, we are basically right there. Finding us is usually easy because we are near the church and directly opposite the Ayyanpan Kovil. It is a very busy street with people coming and going from the shops and the temple all day long. We spend our mornings getting the cars ready and checking the oil and tires before the first learners show up. Madurai traffic can be a bit of a headache, especially around the bazaar, but that is actually good for people learning to drive. They get used to the chaos pretty quickly. We have a small office where we handle the paperwork for licenses and keep the keys. There is usually someone sitting by the door waiting for their turn to get behind the wheel. The weather gets really hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep the fans going. It is just a local place where neighbors come to learn. Most of the folks who work here have lived in Madurai their whole lives. We do not have any fancy waiting rooms or anything like that. It is just the cars and the office and the street. We just focus on showing people how to handle the clutch and gears without stalling in the middle of the bazaar traffic.
