R M Plazza

If you know Thiruparankundram, you probably know where the Murugan Temple is. We are right near there on Kennedy Street, at number 83. R M Plazza has been a part of this neighborhood for a while now. It’s always loud outside because of the pilgrims and the traffic going toward the temple, but we like the energy. Inside the shop, it’s a bit different. We try to keep things organized, though on busy days, stuff piles up. We sell a variety of things, and it’s mostly just us working here, making sure customers get what they came for. I remember when this street wasn't so crowded, but now there's something happening every hour. We don’t have a big corporate office or a team of managers. It is just a few of us who show up early and stay until the shutters go down. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, but mostly we are busy helping people find items. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy ads or anything like that. People find us because they live nearby or they're visiting the temple. We just focus on the work in front of us. The building itself is older, but it serves us well. Dealing with the public every day keeps things interesting, even if it’s tiring. We're just a local business trying to stay steady in a fast-moving part of town.
