We're just a group of farmers here in Uthinipattichocklingapuram. Most people know the area near Melur in Madurai. It's a quiet place, mostly fields and small houses. We decided to put this company together, Aynthinai Farmers Producer Company Limited, because it seemed like a practical way to manage what we grow. Working alone was getting harder with the costs and finding fair buyers. Our office is at the old W3/44-1 address, but the new number is 3-44/46 if you're looking on the gate. It's right in the village. We spend most of our days out in the dirt, not behind desks. It's a lot of work. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us out much. But we've lived here all our lives, and farming is what we know. We deal with the usual crops grown in Madurai. It’s not a big fancy operation. Just local people trying to get things done together. You’ll usually see a couple of us hanging around the office after the morning work is finished. We talk about seed prices, the rain, and who’s going to the market next. Being part of a group helps us share the load. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just keeping the farms running so we can look after our families.
