If you are walking down Basawari Main Road in Kamtaul, you will see our place not too far from the Punjab National Bank. It is a busy stretch of road and things are always moving here. We handle a lot of different supplies and items that people in the area need for their work or their homes. It’s not a big fancy office, just a workspace where we get things done. Most of the day is spent checking what we have in the back and talking to people who come in with lists. We started this because there was a need for a spot in Kamtaul where you could get things without traveling too far. The noise from the main road is constant, and sometimes the bank gets a big crowd, which brings more people past our door. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when a new delivery arrives and boxes are everywhere. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. If someone needs something specific, they just ask. We take our time to make sure we understand what is needed. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a simple way of working, and we like being part of this local community.
