We run Farmhand Farmers Producer Companylimited out of Marukiya, in the Madhubani district. It’s a quiet place where most people know each other. We started this because farming alone is getting harder every year. By coming together in Khajouli, we can share what we know and handle the buying and selling part of the business together. It's not a big corporate setup. We are mostly in the fields or at the post office meeting up. Being in a rural part of Bihar means we have to look out for each other. Some days we are talking about the quality of the soil, and other days it's about how to get the harvest to the right place without it spoiling. We aren't experts in everything, but we know our land. The company is just a way for us to have a formal name when we talk to suppliers. We spend a lot of time figuring out the best timing for the crops. Everyone brings their own experience to the table. Some of the older folks have been doing this for decades, and the younger ones are trying to bring in some new ideas. It's a mix of old ways and trying to keep up. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just focus on the work at hand in Marukiya and hope for a decent season. It's a lot of manual labor and worrying about the sky, but it's what we do here day in and day out to make things work.
