We started Jhanjharpur Agro Producer Company Limited because people around here in Jhanjharpur needed a way to deal with things together. It is hard to do everything alone when you are farming. We mostly stay focused on the land here. Life in Jhanjharpur is mostly about crops and the seasons. Some of us have been here for a long time. We handle the business side of things for the local growers. It’s not fancy work, just everyday stuff that needs doing so people can get their produce out. Sometimes the weather is good and sometimes it’s not. We just try to keep things moving. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. It is just a group of us working out of Jhanjharpur. Most of the folks who come by are neighbors. We talk about the prices and how the harvest looks. We don't use big words or fancy strategies. We just look at what is in front of us. If you are around Jhanjharpur, you probably know where we are. It’s quiet mostly, but busy when it needs to be. We handle the paperwork and the selling part so the farmers don't have to worry about it as much. That is basically what we do. Nothing more to it really. It is just about keeping the local farming going. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who drop by the office to check on things. This helps us understand what everyone needs for the next planting season. It is just a simple way to run things. We like it this way.
