Our place is over at K-2 in the Kismat Complex, right along G.T. Road in Miller Ganj. If you know the area, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and the noise from the road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our time dealing with nuts and shipments, so there are usually bags and boxes sitting around waiting to be moved. The office is inside the complex, and it’s a bit of a maze sometimes if you aren’t familiar with the layout. We don’t have any big signs or flashy stuff out front. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things, so it’s a real working-class kind of vibe around here. The mornings are usually the busiest when the deliveries show up and we have to get everything sorted. Miller Ganj has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the old buildings and the way people talk to each other across the lanes. We keep things pretty simple. No fancy titles or long-winded speeches. Just a group of us making sure the orders are right and that the quality is what it should be. The kettle is usually on, and someone is always checking a list. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of numbers, but we like the pace of it. We just focus on getting the nuts packed up and shipped out on time.
