Vinay Mill Store

If you go down to 1161/4 Gill Kalsian Street, that’s where you will find Vinay Mill Store. It’s a narrow street and can be a bit of a squeeze if two carts are trying to pass each other. We’ve been here for quite a while, serving the local mills and anyone else who needs specific parts. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items like belts, bearings, and bits of hardware that are hard to find elsewhere. It’s a small space, so we have to be very careful about where we put things. Sometimes it feels like we’re playing a game of Tetris just to get to a box in the back. The neighbors around Kalsian Street are mostly other small business owners, so we all know each other well. We start the morning with a cup of tea and then get to work organizing the stock. It’s not a high-tech operation; we use paper receipts and keep our notes in a thick book on the counter. Customers come in with old, greasy parts and ask if we have a match, and we usually spend a bit of time digging through our bins to find it. We don't have a fancy logo or a big sales team. It’s just us in the store, making sure people get the mill supplies they came for. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
