Arneja Machine Tools

Arneja Machine Tools is located at 4077 on Gill Road, right across from the ITI College. It is an industrial area so there are always trucks passing by and the sound of machines in the distance. We have been here for a good number of years. The shop is basically a big room full of tools and parts that people in the trade need. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a shiny showroom. The floor is concrete and there’s usually a bit of oil or dust around, but that is what you expect when you work with machine tools. My brothers and I run the place and we mostly deal with local workshops. People come in looking for something specific, and we dig through the shelves to find it. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the customers get what they came for so they can get back to their own jobs. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a small break to sit on the stools. It is a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Living and working on Gill Road means you get used to the noise and the grit of the city. We’re just part of the local scene here, helping out other workers and keeping things moving along as best as we can.
