Azad Foundary Works

We’ve been at this spot on G T Road for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are right opposite the military camp gates. It’s a loud place, especially when we are working with the furnaces and the metal is getting poured. We spend most of the day covered in dust and soot, but that is just how a foundry is. There is no point trying to stay clean here. The heat from the furnace can get pretty intense during the summers, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the day's work. We do a lot of casting and molding. Sometimes the orders are big, and other times it is just someone needing a small part replaced. We don’t really have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the main workshop area and a small space to sit down and talk. It gets busy with the traffic on the main road, especially with the military vehicles moving in and out across the street. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It helps to get the heavy lifting done while it is still a bit cool. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place better than anyone. We just focus on getting the molds right and making sure the metal flows where it should. It is honest work, even if it is a bit messy and noisy most of the time.
