Thakur Engineering Works

Started out years ago in this spot at E-90 Focal Point for a while now. If you know where Metro Tyres Unit-2 is, we are right nearby in the New Satguru Nanik Industrial Estate. Most days it’s just the sound of machines humming and people getting things done. It’s not fancy here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but that doesn’t change how the work gets done. I grew up around these machines. My father used to spend all his time here and now it’s my turn to keep things moving at Thakur Engineering Works. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks, mostly stuff people bring in when something breaks or needs a specific part made. The floor stays pretty messy with metal scraps and oil, but that’s just how a workshop looks. We don't have a big office or anything. Usually, you’ll find us out back with the tools. The weather gets really hot in the summer and the shed traps the heat, so we start early in the morning to beat it. Sometimes people drop by just to chat or ask for advice on a project they’re stuck on. It's a local crowd around here. Everyone knows everyone in this part of the estate. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure everything fits right before it leaves the door. No big secrets, just staying busy and keeping the equipment running so we can finish what we started yesterday.
