Sunny Karyana Store

Sunny Karyana Store is right here in Ludhiana Central, just at 12, 2. If you are walking near Phambra Road, you will probably see our blue door. It’s not a big fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. We just have shelves full of the usual stuff people need every day. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the road because Ludhiana is always busy with trucks and cycles going past. We spend a good part of the morning just wiping down the jars of pulses and the biscuit packets. It’s just how it is. The building is a bit old and the ceiling has some spots where the paint is peeling away, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We keep a small radio on the counter, mostly playing local news or some old songs while we wait for the neighbors to stop in. Sometimes the bell on the door doesn't ring right, so we have to keep an eye out. Most of the people who come here are folks we’ve known for years. They live around 141008 and just need a kilo of sugar or some tea leaves. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a computer system that works all the time. We write things down in a big brown ledger when we need to. It’s just a simple life here at the shop near Phambra Road, keeping things going one day after another.
