Standard Tools

Standard Tools is our little shop located at 1161/5 G T Road. We are right by the Antrishk Polytechnic Char Rasta. There is a dry cleaner nearby which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The intersection gets quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work or the polytechnic. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the neighborhood change around us. It's a plain building, nothing special to look at, but it serves us well. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and boxes of tools. We don't really do the whole fancy showroom thing. People usually just come in, tell us what they need, and we go find it in the back. It works out fine for everyone. Sometimes we run out of things, but we try to get them back in stock as soon as we can. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking lists. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just us local guys working here. We know most of our regular customers by name. It’s nice to have that kind of connection with the community. If you ever find yourself near the Char Rasta, feel free to stop by. We’re usually around from morning until late evening, just keeping the place going. It’s not always easy but we make it through the week.
