Down here at Chowk Ghumar Mandi Ghumar Mandi 68, things are always moving fast. It’s a busy intersection and our office sits right in the middle of all that noise. We started Shubh Millan Marriage Helpline because we saw how much trouble people had trying to find matches for their family members. It’s a simple office, nothing fancy, just some desks and a lot of registers. We spend most of our time talking to people who walk in from the street or call us up on the phone. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. We have to keep track of who is looking for what, and sometimes the files get a bit mixed up, but we always find what we need eventually. The tea guy comes by a few times a day, and that’s usually when we take a break from looking at profiles. It’s not an easy job because everyone has different expectations and sometimes they get upset if things don't happen quickly. We just try to be patient and listen. Ghumar Mandi is a place where you meet all kinds of people, and we’ve heard just about every story there is. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the area well and want to help out. Our office stays open late most days because people like to come by after they finish work. We just keep our heads down and keep the records updated.
