Malwa Tent House

We are based right on the main Firozpur Road, which is a very busy area for any business. Having the shop here means we see a lot of people passing by all day long. Our space is mostly used for storing all the gear we need for events, like the heavy iron frames for the tents and the large rolls of flooring. We have a lot of different fabrics in various colors, though they tend to get dusty being so close to the main road traffic. When a booking comes in, we have to check all the poles and the cloth to make sure nothing is torn or broken from the last time we used it. It is physical labor, through and through. We spend a lot of time in the back of the trucks, stacking chairs or folding up huge sheets of waterproof material. During the off-season, we mostly spend our time cleaning the equipment and repairing the wooden stages. It is a family-run sort of thing and we don't have a big corporate setup. Just a phone, some ledger books for the dates, and a lot of manual work to keep the business going. Sometimes the noise from the Firozpur Road traffic makes it hard to hear ourselves talk, but you get used to it after a few years. We just keep our heads down and prepare for the next wedding season.
