Kiran Poly Packs

Our place is in Shakti Market, which is part of the Miller Ganj area along the G T Road. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there are always big trucks moving around. We deal with poly packs and packaging materials, so the shop is basically filled from floor to ceiling with rolls of plastic and bags. Kiran Poly Packs is just a small operation, mostly handling wholesale orders for other businesses around Ludhiana. The G T Road traffic is always a mess, but being in Shakti Market means we are right where the action is. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or writing out invoices on a wooden desk. The air in here has that specific smell of new plastic. It’s not a place for window shopping; people come here when they need a thousand bags for their own products. We move the heavy bundles around by hand, which is good exercise I suppose. Some of the machines we use for cutting and sealing are quite old, but they get the job done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy moving stock to worry about that. Miller Ganj is a tough area, but it’s where all the trade happens. We’ve been here for years, just part of the local market landscape. It’s just simple, practical business every single day.
