Being over here at Basti Jodhewal in the Vrajraiji Colony, you see a lot of people building new things. Our place, Shree Vishvkarma Iron Cement Store, stays pretty dusty because of all the heavy bags we move around. Iron rods are stacked in the back and they are heavy as anything. You have to be careful when you are moving them around so you do not catch your clothes on the sharp ends. The cement bags leave a white film on the floor no matter how many times we sweep it up during the day. It is hard work, especially when a big order comes in and we have to load it all onto a tempo by hand. My back usually aches by the end of the day, but that is just part of the job here. We get a lot of local contractors who have been coming to us for years. They know we are just a small outfit in the colony.
