Shree Ji Shining Stars School

Our school is tucked away in Street Number 3 over in Hargobind Nagar. If you know Ludhiana, you know these streets can get pretty crowded, especially when parents are dropping their kids off in the morning. It’s a local neighborhood school through and through. We started this place because there was a need for a school right here in the residential area so kids wouldn't have to travel too far. The building has several floors and we have squeezed in as much as we can for the students. You will hear the sound of children playing and reciting their lessons if you walk past our gate during the day. It’s not a quiet place, but that is how a school should be. We deal with all the usual stuff like broken desks, lost water bottles, and fixing the charts on the walls. The teachers here live nearby for the most part, so we feel like part of the community. We don't have a giant playground, but the kids make do with the space we have. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when everyone is out at once. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids are doing their homework. Parents stop by the office often to chat about their children's progress or to pay fees. It’s a very hands-on way of running things and we don't use much technology for the day to day management.
