Shiv Forgings (Baum)

Our workshop is located at B-95 in the Industrial Area-A extension. If you come down this way, you will notice it is a very industrial part of town with lots of smoke and metal noise. We do forgings here, which is basically shaping metal using heat and force. It is tough work and it gets very hot inside the building, especially during the summer months. We have been at this location for a good while now. The equipment we use is heavy and takes up most of the floor space. We do not have much of an office, just a small corner where we keep the books and take calls. Most of the day is spent on the shop floor making sure the hammers are hitting right. We wear our work clothes and usually end the day covered in soot and grease. That is just how the forging business goes. We know the other guys in the neighboring units and we often help each other out if someone runs out of supplies. We do not go in for fancy marketing or big slogans. We just take the orders, do the metalwork, and send them out. It is a simple setup but it works for us. The building is plain and functional because that is all we really need to get the job done. We just focus on the metal and the machines every day.
