Sehgal Forging

Sehgal Forging is situated out on Budhewal Road in Village Jandiali, right on the Chandigarh Road. We are directly opposite MK Kanda. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, but it gives us the space we need for the forging work. Forging is a tough, physical job that involves a lot of heat and heavy equipment. Our facility is basically a large shed with the hammers and furnaces we use to shape metal. It can get very loud when we are in the middle of a big job, and the heat from the furnaces is intense, especially during the summer months. We have a yard where we store the raw iron and the finished products before they are picked up. The workers here are a hardy group and they know the trade inside out. We don't have a fancy office or any air-conditioned rooms. It’s all very basic and built for the purpose of forging. The road outside is always busy with traffic going between cities, so there is a constant hum of engines. We’ve been here for quite some time now and are a known part of the local landscape in Jandiali. We don't spend much time on paperwork or meetings. Most of our time is spent on the floor, making sure the metal is being shaped correctly. It’s a hard way to earn a living, but it’s what we know.
