Sharma Exports Ludhiana is located on Sua Road in the Gaispurun Industrial Area-C. To find us, you have to go past the Nanaksar Dharam Kanda and the Makkar Colony. We’re tucked behind a dung furnace, so the air usually has a specific smell to it, and it can get quite smoky. It’s a tough area to work in, but we’re used to it. The road is often dusty and full of potholes, especially when the big lorries are moving through. Our unit isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a practical space where we handle the goods. We spend a lot of time cleaning the dust off the desks and the equipment. Everyone here works hard, often getting their hands dirty with the packing and the moving. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have our names on the door and a phone that rings quite a lot. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during the break just to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping track of numbers in our heads. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we know all the other business owners on Sua Road. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
