Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha College

This college is located in the village of Sarabha, which is part of the Ludhiana district in Punjab. We are named after a famous local figure, and that is something the people around here take pride in. The campus is situated in a rural setting, surrounded by fields and the open air of the countryside. Many of our students come from farming families in the surrounding VPO Sarabha area. They travel by bus or tractor to get here for their classes. We have a solid brick building with classrooms that have seen many batches of students pass through. Life here is quite simple and revolves around the academic calendar and the local seasons. We don't have the high-tech gadgets of a city university, but we have teachers who care and students who are willing to work hard. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and you will often see groups of students sitting under the trees talking during their free time. We have a small office for administration and a library that stays quite busy during the exam months. The winters can get very cold here, so everyone comes wrapped in thick sweaters and shawls. It is a place where we value the local roots and try to give the young people a chance to study without having to move far away to the big cities. It is just our local college doing what it has done for many years now.
