We are situated at 2616 in Jagraon, which is in the Agwar Ladhai part of Ludhiana. This has been our base for many years, and it’s a very traditional neighborhood. Our place is more like a home than a formal office. We keep all our musical instruments, like the dhols and harmoniums, in the main room. It’s where we gather to practice or just to talk about our upcoming performances. Jagraon is a small enough town that most people know where we are located. We don’t do any big advertising or have a polished website. Our work comes from people seeing us at parties or weddings in the local pinds and asking for our number. We spend a lot of time traveling in our old van to different parts of the Ludhiana district. The building we are in is quite old and has a lot of history to it. In the afternoons, you can usually find us sitting outside on the porch, drinking tea and greeting the people who walk by. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things, but we are serious about our music. We don’t have any managers or agents. We handle everything ourselves, from the instruments to the transport. It’s a local life and we are happy to be part of the community in Agwar Ladhai. We just take things one day at a time and enjoy what we do.
