Sadhu Singh Bilkhu & Sons

Our family has been running Sadhu Singh Bilkhu & Sons at 384 Miller Ganj for a very long time. It started with the older generation and now the sons are the ones handling the daily tasks. Miller Ganj is a crowded place, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the mechanical businesses around here. The air always has that smell of old oil and scrap metal, which is something you just get used to after a week of working. We do not have any air conditioning or fancy displays. There are just some old fans that hum while we work. The walls have not been painted in years, and there are stacks of parts reaching up to the ceiling in some corners. We try to keep it organized, but when things get busy, we just put stuff where it fits. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for decades. We talk about the news or how the neighborhood is changing while we sort out their orders. It is a small operation and we do not have a big staff. My brother does the paperwork and I stay out on the floor with the tools. We do not make a big deal out of what we do. It is just a steady job that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We open the shutters early and close them when the work is finished for the day.
