R.D. Mechanical Works

Our shop is located at E-81 in Phase IV of the Focal Point area. It’s a typical mechanical worksite with plenty of metal and tools everywhere. We’ve been operating here for years, dealing with all sorts of mechanical repairs and fabrication tasks. The area is always full of trucks and noise from other shops nearby. We mostly stick to our own space and keep the machines running. It’s a dirty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. We have a small crew and most of us have been working with metal since we were young. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, they usually just shout for one of us over the noise of the lathes. We focus on getting the dimensions right. If a piece of equipment breaks down, people bring it here to see if we can fix it. Sometimes we’re making something from scratch based on a rough drawing. It’s practical work. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings on it by noon. We try to keep things moving so customers aren't waiting too long. It’s just a honest living in a busy industrial zone. We don't do anything fancy, just solid mechanical work day in and day out. It works for us and the people we serve. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that's usually our only real break from the noise of the workshop.
