As Auto Engineering Works & Spare

As Auto Engineering Works & Spare is situated along that stretch from shimlapuri Gill Road to Daba Road, specifically at number 4074. It’s a long name for a place that basically does a lot of heavy lifting and metal work. We have different machines for grinding and boring, and the floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. The spare parts side of things takes up a lot of the shelf space. We have boxes stacked up everywhere and sometimes it feels like the ceiling is too low. Being between Gill Road and Daba Road means we see a lot of people passing through who need their machinery or vehicles looked at. The air always smells a bit like iron and machine oil. It’s a noisy environment, especially when the lathes are running, so we’ve all learned to speak a bit louder than normal. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars on the wall and the tools we use every day. It’s a lot of hard work and we stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time and they know the machines better than they know their own kitchens. We just focus on the engineering and getting the spares sorted for the local folks who come to the shop.
